Your Dog is Too Fat!
I might not know you or your dog but chances are I am right.
A recent survey found that 41% of dogs in Australia were overweight or obese and dogs in rural and regional areas were much more likely to be overweight than their city counterparts. So, more than likely your dog is too fat.
In addition dog obesity rates go up along with obesity of their owner. If you are overweight it is more likely that your dog is too.
The message was rammed home to vets when the acclaimed journal JAVMA brought out a study where two groups of Labradors were studied throughout their entire life. One was fed normal quantities and the other group was fed only 75% of the first group.
The group fed less lived on average another 2.8 years, almost a quarter of a lifetime longer than the dogs fed normally. If most people looked at these dogs they would think they were too thin ? they had ribs and hips poking out and hardly any fat on them at all.
Not only that, degenerative illnesses like hip dysplasia, arthritis, heart disease and cancer occurred at a lower rates and if they occurred they occurred later in life.
The fountain of youth for dogs has been discovered.
Now to convince the dog owners of Orange.
