September 2011
There are over 6000 pets euthanased every year because their owners couldn't afford veterinary treatment and veterinary treatments are becoming more complicated and more expensive. Woolworths has just announced that they will soon be offering pet insurance. Most insurers offer cover for between $30-50/month - the price of a couple of cups of coffee a week and with that you can afford the very best in veterinary care. You may have seen vet, Sara Biasutti on WIN news talking about pet insurance. Read our media release.....

Lisa Brisbane is running her allergy clinics. Signs of a possible allergy include itchiness, sneezing, skin irritation, dermatitis, mucky eyes, ear infections, licking/sucking at feet, gurgly stomach and not being able to cope with certain types of food. If your pet suffers from any of these they may be suffering unnecessarily.

Rather than giving drugs, Lisa tests for the specific things your pet is allergic to. Then gives small doses of these substances until the immune system gets used to them and stops over-reacting. Read more.....

Heart disease in older dogs is very common but generally it can be well managed with medication if caught soon enough. Often it is present and the only sign is an increase in sleep. This month we are offering free heart screening for all dogs.

Brooke Firth takes puppy preschool every Tuesday night. Give us a call if you would like to enrol.

Many people have been waiting for our latest t-shirts to come in and they have finally arrived. Also there are two styles of cap for the fashion lovers out there.
