Welcome to the first of our email newsletters

We have had a busy winter but some relief has come in the form of Sara Biasutti coming to join us, essentially as an equine vet, but she has been helping out with many of our small animal patients as well. This has made our waiting times for routine things like vaccinations come down from 3-5 days to almost the same day. In other words we can generally fit your appointment in almost the day you call. Unfortunately horse breeding season is almost on us which means Sara will be full time (and some) doing horse stud work. Don't worry we are on the look out for another experienced, brilliant vets to join us.

Another addition to the clinic is a new ultrasound machine, which while not as exciting as having Sara come, is none the less a great advance on the old scanner.

Also we have bought a bus load of frontline and so we are selling it very cheaply. In fact we haven't found anywhere cheaper and as the weather warms fleas will start to hatch so be prepared.

Lisa has started her Master's degree through Massey university. Hopefully it doesn't take the painful 6 years it took me to get mine  or the prolonged 8 years it took Lisa's husband, Stuart, to get his!

Regan has successfully recuperated from a major surgery on her back and is back on board again, for which we are very thankful.

We would like to thank all those who filled in and returned the questionnaire. We have made public the results from it and while they are very encouraging they also help greatly in planning for the future. Have a look below for the story for the results.

Welcome to our first newsletter. We are hoping to get them out on a regular basis and will be adding as much good content as possible.

Nowadays with so much information available we have become interpreters rather than repositories of knowledge. There is an awful lot of rubbish information out there.

If you have anything you would like to know about or you think we should include drop us a line and let us know.
