If you missed Geoff's recipe for homemade dog food, here it is,:

I kg of meaty bones (lamb flaps, chicken necks, wings or frames, lamb shanks) Make sure bought from the human supply chain.
In Orange we recommend Peter Moad at March street pet foods as he sources his meat direct from human abattoirs
2 eggs
250 g non starchy vegetables cooked or not cooked or table scraps
250 g cooked pumpkin
1/2 teaspoon brewers yeast/ pento vite or the appropriate vitamin B substitute
1/2 teaspoon calcium power (bone meal, calcium carbonate, egg shells or calcium sandoz) use 1-2 teaspoons if using just meat rather than meaty bones

Give one can of sardines a week.

Make up in batches and freeze. The average 20kg dog will need about 300- 500 g of this each day.
Dont worry about fat on the meat, dogs are carnivores and don't get ischemic heart disease.
If you give offal as a treat make sure it is no more than 5% of the diet.
Most home made diets are low in calcium, magnesium and vitamins A and E.
This diet is appropriate for adult dogs between 9 months and 9 years who are in good health. It isnt appropriate for large breed dogs, growing dogs or dogs with certain medical conditions.
